Nadia was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and started volunteering as a kennel assistant at the BCSPCA when she was 15 years old. She graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Animal Biology, and then in 2005, she graduated from TRU’s Animal Health Technology Program, receiving the award for academic excellence and practical proficiency.
She started her RVT career at a busy small animal practice in Vancouver before moving to Baltimore, Maryland, where she spent almost 6 years as a zoo veterinary technician. When she moved back to Vancouver, she returned to general small animal practice for over 13 years before joining the VAERC Oncology Team in January 2026.
When not at work, Nadia spends time with her loving husband and blended family, their 2 rescue dogs and 1 cat, and also volunteers as manager for her son’s football (not soccer) team every Spring and Fall.
