Janelle was born and raised in Manitoba, involved in sports, horseback riding and the local 4-H club. After high school Janelle attended a year of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan before traveling Australia and Thailand. Janelle moved to Vancouver in 2004 and started working in a small veterinary practice as a veterinary receptionist/assistant. In 2009 Janelle graduated from the Animal Health Technology distance education program through Thompson Rivers University. Janelle has recently celebrated 15 years of being a RVT.

When Janelle is not working she enjoys hiking, baking and spending time with her husband, two children and Husky.
