Shaine was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After high school, he went to Simon Fraser University and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. A year later, he started working at a general practice veterinary clinic as a receptionist and eventually stepped into the role technician assistant. In 2019 he began the veterinary technician distance education program at Thompson Rivers University. He graduated in 2021 and received the Governor General’s Collegiate Bronze Medal for achieving the highest overall average from a diploma level program. Shaine loves being a RVT because he gets to help and care for animals. When not at work, Shaine likes weightlifting, hiking, eating, and taking cat naps with his favourite feline Sora.
