Dr. Fiona Tam grew up in Toronto and obtained her veterinary degree from Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2006. She completed a rotating internship in VEC in Toronto and stayed on as an emergency doctor, prior to moving to Saskatoon to complete a residency in Internal Medicine in Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Tam completed her residency and was admitted to the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2011. She worked in a private specialty practice in the Pittsburgh area for over 10 years until 2022, when she moved back to Canada with her cats to join the team at VCA Canada Guardian Veterinary Centre. Her particular areas of interest include endocrinology, respiratory and hepatic diseases.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, knitting/crocheting and travelling.
