Tera grew up in interior BC, helping out at her Father’s mixed animal veterinary practice where she developed a keen interest in caring for animals of all species. She acquired her Animal Health Technology diploma with honours in 2002 and went on to graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006. She has 22 years of technical experience in emergency and critical care as a Registered Veterinary Technologist at emergency and referral practices here and in Alberta. During that time, she obtained specialized certification in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing in 2011. She moved to Victoria in 2015 to join the CVIC team and enjoys spending time with her family and pets named Hazel, Susie, Ima, Hyder and Buttertart.
