What is a board certified veterinary radiologist?

A veterinary radiologist is a veterinarian who has undergone advanced residency training in the diagnostic imaging of small animals. A veterinary radiologist is a diagnostic imaging specialist who usually becomes involved in a case when a family veterinarian requires more information than they can obtain through traditional knowledge or the diagnostic equipment at his disposal. Veterinary radiologists utilize advanced imaging techniques to obtain an accurate diagnosis and guide effective therapy for your pet. These techniques can include digital radiography, radiographic contrast procedures, ultrasonography, echocardiography and computed tomography (CT). Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is pleased to provide these services to assist our patients and referring veterinarians.
