Kira grew up riding horses just outside of Calgary which sparked her interested in veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Alberta for undergraduate studies in Animal Health before completing her DVM degree at the University of Calgary. She completed a one year rotating internship at the CARE Centre following which she stayed on as a member of the emergency team. Kira’s veterinary interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and oncology. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, horseback riding, biking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
