Beth Hanselman

Internal Medicine
Dr. Hanselman graduated from the DVM program at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 2001, where she received the Andrew Smith Memorial Medal for academic and clinical achievement.

Following graduation, Dr. Hanselman was employed as a small animal veterinarian in Burlington for two years. Dr. Hanselman subsequently returned to the Ontario Veterinary College in 2003 to complete a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by a three year clinical residency and DVSc in small animal internal medicine.

Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine was achieved in 2007. Dr. Hanselman has completed a DVSc thesis on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

Our Internal Medicine Department is committed to providing advanced medical care by experienced, board-certified doctors and compassionate support staff. Our internal medicine specialists have extensive training in diagnosing and treating diseases affecting your pet’s internal systems. Your appointment will include a detailed history, performing a thorough physical examination, and then formulating an appropriate diagnostic plan. Once a diagnosis has been achieved, an individualized therapeutic plan is devised and reviewed in detail with you. Ongoing support for both you and your family veterinarian is provided as needed.
