Michael O'Grady, Cardiology


Dr. O’Grady graduated with his DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College. Following graduation, he worked in private practice in Winnipeg. He then completed an internship at the University of Minnesota, a residency and Masters of Science degree at the Ohio State University and achieved Board Certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Cardiology as a subspecialty.

Dr. O’Grady has recently retired as a professor in the Department of Clinical Studies at the University of Guelph, however Dr. O’Grady is available 3 days per month as the C.A.R.E. Centre’s consultant cardiologist. He has published and lectured extensively on cardiovascular diseases. His area of special interest is dilated cardiomyopathy in Doberman Pinschers, a subject on which he is considered an international expert.
