Krista Halling, Surgery


Dr. Halling graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998, receiving graduation awards for academic achievement and leadership. After receiving her D.V.M. degree, she completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Colorado State University, followed by a residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Halling achieved board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2003.

She was an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College from 2002 until joining the surgical service of our hospital in 2006.

Dr. Halling’s additional qualifications include a certification in Canine Rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and advanced experience in external fixation and correction of angular limb deformities in dogs.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Halling is also a certified Professional Bicycle Mechanic.
