Dr. Rhea Plesman grew up on a farm outside Lethbridge, Alberta. Following completion of a Bachelor in Science in biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge she moved to Saskatoon to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2008, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto. From 2009 to 2012 she returned to Saskatoon to complete a Masters in Veterinary Medicine and residency in Small Animal Surgery. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery in 2013. Since that time she has worked as a boarded veterinary surgeon in Toronto. Dr. Plesman enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery, including oncologic, soft tissue, orthopaedic and arthroscopic minimally invasive procedures. In her spare time she is busy playing hockey, doing outdoor activities such as biking and watching her kids various sporting activites. She is also proud mom to her cat, Meow and two dogs Iris and Moxie.
