Dr. Shannon Wainberg received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 2010 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014. She then went on to complete a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca, New York, a general surgery internship at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital in Ottawa, and a Surgical Oncology Internship at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Wainberg went on to complete a four year small animal surgical residency at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021, during which time she also obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) designation with her thesis dissertation on the optimization of bone plate placement for use in orthopaedic fracture repairs.

When not in the operating room, Dr. Wainberg enjoys hiking, baking, traveling, and being a proud cat-mom to her orange tabby cat, Riff Raff. Dr. Wainberg is very excited to be moving back to her native city of Toronto and joining the TVEH family!
