AJ grew up in Minnesota and attended the University of Notre Dame where they obtained their BA in history and pre-professional studies. They then returned to Minnesota and obtained their Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating they worked in emergency and end of life care in Wisconsin and Boston before moving to Vancouver with their partner and three cats. Outside of work you can find them hiking, crafting, and trying to keep their cats from knocking everything onto the floor.
