Dr. Katrina Smith obtained her BSc. from the University of Alberta in 1986, and her DVM degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1991, followed by two years in private practice in Ottawa. Dr. Smith completed her medicine residency at the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996 (DVSc.), and received board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1998. She has been working at TVEH since its inception.
Outside the world of veterinary medicine, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her family, and stealing the occasional free moment in her garden.
