Originally from Iran, Ida Hassanpour completed here DVM with a combined PhD/Residency in Veterinary Surgery at Shiraz University. She then spent six months as a visiting scholar in the Small Animal Department in University of Montreal, solidifying her decision to immigrate to Canada.
- Moved to Vancouver in 2021 and collaborated with the Firefighters Burn and Wound Healing Laboratory at UBC’s Division of Plastic Surgery.
- Passed her NAVLE in 2023, worked in Emergency and Urgent Care for two years in Ontario.
- Her professional interests include all aspects of emergency and critical care, especially emergency surgeries and trauma management, as well as tissue engineering and wound healing.
