Dr. Scott Joudrey was born and raised in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2011, completed a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at VEC in Toronto, followed by a surgical internship and research fellowship at Louisiana State University and finally a three year small animal surgical residency at the Veterinary Speciality and Emergency Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Joudrey joined the Surgical Service at TVEH in August 2017. His areas of interest and expertise include minimal invasive laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures, attenuation of portosystemic shunts, hepatobiliary surgery (liver neoplasia, cholecystectomies, etc), surgical oncology, management of cranial cruciate ligament disease (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy), brachycephalic airway disease and thyroid/parathyroid surgery.
Dr. Joudrey is huge fan of northern breeds, as he has two huskies himself.
In his free time, Dr. Joudrey enjoys staying active (running, cycling, weight lifting and yoga) and spending time with his partner Jonathon and his three dogs Snow, Belle and Baloo.
