Dr. Shawn Mackenzie grew up in Prince Edward Island and obtained his DVM in 2010 from the Atlantic Veterinary College. Following graduation, he moved to Guelph, Ontario to complete a rotating internship followed by a four-year combined residency and Doctorate of Veterinary Sciences in diagnostic imaging at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Mackenzie is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and joined the TVEH team in 2015. He enjoys lecturing and providing CE on various diagnostic imaging topics including radiographic interpretation, ultrasound and use of advanced imaging modalities.

Away from work Dr. Mackenzie enjoys golf, skiing, and hockey as well as a variety of outdoor activities with his wife, their young son, and their Yellow Lab “Easton”.
