Dr. Alison Carter is originally from North Vancouver, and completed her Bachelor of Science at UBC Okanagan. After spending some time in Kelowna, she then moved to Ireland and completed her veterinary degree at University College Dublin in 2020. Following graduation she came to Calgary to complete a rotating small animal internship at the CARE Centre. Dr. Carter continued at the CARE Centre with the Emergency Service until fall 2023 when she transitioned to Western to become the clinical associate with the Internal Medicine service.

Dr. Carter spends her free time with her family and friends, and keeps busy with her 1 year old sheepadoodle at home. She enjoys travelling, reading, hiking, and trying new restaurants around town!
