Dr. Yaychuk is a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick and completed an undergraduate degree in science at the University of New Brunswick. After 3 years of working with the New Brunswick Provincial Government, he left to pursue his dream of a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Yaychuk graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island and practiced in Moncton, New Brunswick before joining the Emergency team at Alta Vista in late 2019. He enjoys the continuous learning that comes with practicing veterinary medicine and is passionate about creating a welcoming experience for his patients and their owners.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Yaychuk enjoys traveling, running, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and Rufus, his Bernese mountain dog. Although a Maritimer at heart, he is excited to be working and living in Ottawa.
