Dr. Stefania Grasso is a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist who earned her veterinary degree from the University of Perugia in Italy and has been in clinical practice since 2010. Her advanced training includes postgraduate work in France and the United States, culminating in a residency in anesthesia and analgesia at Purdue University. Dr. Grasso is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA).
Dr. Grasso has held academic appointments, including as a clinical instructor at the University of Montreal, where she contributed to both teaching and clinical service. In 2017, she relocated to Ottawa and co-founded the Veterinary Specialty Clinic for Anesthesia and Neurology (VSCAN). There, she led the Anesthesia Service and played a key role in supporting neurology, neurosurgery, and advanced imaging teams.
In addition to her clinic-based work, Dr. Grasso launched a mobile anesthesia service to improve access to specialized anesthetic care across the Ottawa–Gatineau region. Her practice is grounded in a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and collaborative care with referring veterinarians.
