Kirsty Elliot, Oncology

DVM, DACVIM (oncology)

Dr. Elliot is a West Coast native, having grown up in Vancouver, BC. She completed her undergraduate degree in Agroecology with Honours at the University of British Columbia, and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2008 with Distinction. After graduation, she worked for a year as a clinical associate in Radiation Oncology at the WCVM, a job that sparked her interest in oncology. Dr. Elliot then spent some time in general small animal practice in Prince George, BC. She then returned to the WCVM to complete a residency in Medical Oncology in conjunction with a Master’s of Veterinary Science. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2013.

Dr. Elliot strongly values the human-animal bond. She finds specializing in oncology allows her to support this bond and give a high degree of personalized care to her patients and clients. Outside work, Dr. Elliot enjoys long walks with her family (both two and four-legged members), cooking, reading (especially historical fiction) and chasing after her two young children. Some of her other interests, like traveling, sports, and competing in canine agility with her dog Josie are currently on hold, but she hopes to enjoy these activities with her children in the future.

Referral Appointments
Dr. Elliot is available for consultations Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise stated.
