Violet was born and raised in Vancouver BC. After spending three years living and studying in Montreal, Violet returned to Vancouver in 2018 where she graduated with Honours from Blanche Macdonald Centre with a diploma in Makeup Artistry, with a particular interest in special effects and prosthetics. After working on films and as a salon assistant and receptionist, she left to pursue her dream of working with animals and joined the team at VAERC in May 2022. She started her journey as a Client Care Specialist, but quickly took an interest in specialty referrals. As a Referral Coordinator, she is passionate about her role in connecting clients and their pets with the best possible care, and being a kind and knowledgeable resource for pet-owners who are interested in specialty services. Violet has three rescue cats at home named Mushi, Kumo and Hachi, and helps to look after a family dog named Ollie. When she’s not at the clinic, Violet can be found reading sci-fi, horror, and fantasy books, playing board games, and drawing comics.
