Jessica was born and raised in Vancouver and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2016. She joined VAERC’s Veterinary Technician Assistant (VTA) team in 2020 and earned her Veterinary Technician diploma with Honours from Douglas College in 2023. She is Fear-Free Certified and is deeply committed to advocacy of patient wellbeing, comfort, and safety.
Outside of her clinical work, Jessica also volunteers her time with the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society.
When she’s not at the hospital, Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors, feeling most at peace near any body of water. At home she enjoys cuddling with her 3 cats, crafting, baking, or daydreaming and planning for her next trip abroad.
