Dr. Sherisse Sakals DVM, Diplomate ACVS graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and stayed in Saskatoon to complete a small animal internship. She then went to Colorado for a surgery internship. After completing her surgical residency at the University of Georgia, she became a board certified small animal surgeon in 2013. She returned to Saskatoon as small animal surgery faculty for several years. She has most recently been working as a locum surgeon at many of the specialty practices in BC and Alberta and the University of Saskatchewan. Sherisse’s particular area of interest within surgery is minimally invasive surgery for both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures (thoracoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis etc). Sherisse’s interests outside of work are travel, veterinary work abroad, running, and most recently surfing.
