Dr. James Lange graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Auckland in 2011. Following this, he obtained his Veterinary Degree from Massey University in 2015. Dr. Lange worked in general practice in rural New Zealand for 18 months before making the trip home to Canada. He completed a rotating small animal internship at Western Veterinary Specialist Centre in 2018. After working as an emergency veterinarian for several years, Dr. Lange completed a residency in emergency and critical care medicine and became a board-certified specialist in 2023. His professional interests include mechanical ventilation, management of shock and extracorporeal treatments such as therapeutic plasma exchange.
Outside of work, James enjoys running, hiking and rock climbing.
